Three winning $50,000 tickets were sold in both Maryland and Virginia for the Wednesday, Oct. 4 "Powerball" drawing, though no players matched all six numbers, bringing the jackpot for Saturday's drawing to an estimated $1.4 billion, the third highest in history.
On Wednesday, the winning numbers were: 09-35-54-63-64 with a 'Powerball" of 01.
In Virginia, the winning tickets worth five-figure prizes were sold at:
- 7-Eleven on Leesburg Pike in Herndon;
- Crosspoint Market on Village Shop Drive in Fairfax Station;
- Thrift Mart/Truck Plaza on Boydton Plan Road in Petersburg.
In Maryland, the winners were sold at:
- Calverton Exxon on Powder Mill Road in Beltsville;
- Lutherville Giant on York Road in Baltimore County;
- MGM National Harbor at MGM National Avenue in Oxon Hill.
The Saturday, Oct. 7 "Powerball" jackpot has hit an estimated $1.4 billion with a cash value of $643.7 million, representing the third largest in the game's history and fifth largest in US history.
